Stuck In A RUC is an independent, community-driven project started in 2025. Our goal is to make it effortless for New Zealanders to understand the true cost of operating vehicles by combining fuel spend and Road User Charges (RUC) in one transparent calculator.

Why we built it

RUC tables are complex, fuel prices change daily and most online calculators lack transparency. We wanted a tool that:

• Runs blazingly fast on mobile—all while respecting your privacy.
• Excels at accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and performance (Lighthouse 95+).
